Day 1: Board flight from Helsinki Airport to Mumbai
Welcome to India in the most populated city on the earth - Mumbai.This will be your rest day after a long flight. In the evening, we will enjoy a walk through a tiny local market.We all will assemble at a cosmopolitan home where we will watch a culinary demonstration and dine with the family and local foodies and get a glimpse of the Gujarati community cuisine of Mumbai.
Day 2 : In the morning, after enjoying continental breakfast, we will walk near Gateway of India then drive past The Hanging Gardens and the Parsi Towers of Silence. In the afternoon, Visit Mani Bawan the Mumbai residence of Mahatma Gandhi.Later this afternoon we will walk through a Khau galli (eat street) at Chowpatty, and wind up at a local restaurant for a dinner.
Day 3: Mumbai – Goa
We leave Mumbai to proceed to the beautiful state of Goa. Upon arrival in Goa we will make our way to the hotel. Our time in Goa is to relax unwind and rest. Dinner at a famous seafood restaurant in North Goa.
Day 4: Goa
Spend the day by the pool or on the beach. For those who would like to explore the region we have an Optional Half day city tour of Old Goa.
Day 5: Goa
In the morning, we can go for a walk along seaside and then come back for Goan breakfast. Late afternoon we will visit a Goan home for cooking demo by a local family and enjoy dinner in their company.
Day 6 : Goa to Kochi (Kerala)
On arrival Cochin transfer to a resort and enjoy an evening at leisure.Later in the evening proceed for a Kathakali Dance Show. Kathakali is a traditional dance form of Kerala and the impressive facial expressions, hand gestures and dance moves that leave one spellbound.
Day 7 : Relax like a Royal family!Today, you will relax with mind and body at peace. For mind, we will have morning yoga sessions. After morning South Indian breakfast, you will be given Ayurvedic massage with various oil options suitable to your health and skin. In the afternoon, enjoy South Indian seafood lunch and then relax by the beach side for rest of the day.
Day 8 : Kochi - Thekkady
After breakfast this morning enjoy a spice tour concluding in a culinary demonstration illustrating the characteristics of each spice. The most abundantly found spice in Thekkady is pepper. But there is a variety of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, turmeric and curry leaves as well.
Day 9 : Thekkady
Visit famous tea plantations and enjoy walk on the hill-side with relaxations and every young Ayurvedic therapies in the evening.
Day 10 : Return journey starts from Kochi to Helsinki and you will be well equipped with Indian food varieties to try at your home in Finland!
